Supreme People’s Court Annual Report on Intellectual Property in 2015 (Apr-2016)
On April 21, the Supreme People’s Court announced ten annual intellectual property cases and 50 typical intellectual property cases in 2015. The ten intellectual property cases include 8 intellectual property civil cases; one intellectual property administrative case and one intellectual property criminal case.
According to the report, the number of cases about intellectual property protection in the People’s Court had been rising continuously in 2015, especially the cases relating to patent and technology had been rising rapidly, as well as the cases relating to cutting-edge and frontier technologies were on increase. By the end of 2015, Courts around the country received one hundred and forty-nine thousand various cases on intellectual property protection, 11.5% increase compared with 2014, concluding one hundred and forty-two thousand various cases on intellectual property protection with year-on-year growth of 11.8%.
